Pasquale Stafano & Gianni Iorio
Mediterranean Tales
A lyrical Mediterranean journey where piano and bandoneon become two chamber voices in dialogue.
Not a tango project, but an intimate European soundscape: the bandoneon becomes a lyrical, almost vocal presence, in dialogue with Pasquale Stafano’s piano.
The Duo
Piano &
Bandoneon
Mediterranean Tales brings together the piano of Pasquale Stafano and the bandoneon of Gianni Iorio in a chamber-like project of original music, Mediterranean lyricism and jazz sensitivity.
The dialogue between the two instruments creates an intimate and cinematic sound: melodic, contemplative and deeply expressive, far from the conventional image of tango.
